Liberals Reach an Embarrassing New Low with “People’s State of the Union”

While President Donald Trump was delivering his first State of the Union address, a speech that voters across the political spectrum gave historically high ratings, liberal Hollywood elites were delivering addresses of their own. Unsurprisingly, the results were embarrassingly comical.

From expletive-laced spoken word featuring a harmonica (we’re not kidding) to mini-tantrums lashing out against America and “evil white male privilege”, hard-left politicians and celebrities everywhere delivered a smorgasbord of drivel that has got to be a new low for the Democratic party.

Rather than focus on the nonsensical content of their speeches, the press chose to highlight how star-studded the event was, as if the fact that people such as Amy Schumer and Mark Ruffalo were speaking somehow lent the event political significance.

In the end, though, the result was exactly what you would expect when a bunch of people whose jobs have nothing to do with politics gather together to rant about things they don’t have a clue about. If this really is the new voice of the American left, then the ideology is going down in a burning trash-heap sooner rather than later.
