Female Trump voters have unfortunately become a go-to target for those on the left. It’s easy enough for the followers of identity politics to accept the fact that evil white men voted for Trump. However, they can’t seem to fathom why Hillary Clinton didn’t win every single female vote in the country by virtue of simply being a woman.
The most recent leftist to lash out against female Trump voters is singer Barbra Streisand. Writing for the Daily Mail, Streisand brought out a tired old argument – that women who voted for Trump only did so because they are too stupid to make their own decisions and instead simply do what their husbands tell them.
As insulting as this position is, it’s become a common position to hold for those on the left. Even Hillary Clinton herself suggested that the women who voted against her were forced to vote that way by their husbands. As much as the left pretends to be a champion of women, they sure are quick to attack them when they don’t fall in line with their rules of identity politics.
The truth, of course, is that there are plenty of intelligent, independent, conservative women who were appalled by the idea of having Clinton in the White House regardless of her gender. It would seem, though, that this is simply too tough of a pill to swallow for those still bitter about her defeat.
