Charles Krauthammer Dead at 68
Fox News contributor, Pulitzer Prize winner, and venerated conservative commentator Charles Krauthammer has passed away. He was 68.
Reports of Krauthammer’s death come just weeks after the long-time Fox News personality penned a letter to readers announcing he had only a short time left. The writer had been battling cancer.
Most Fox News viewers know Krauthammer from his nightly appearances on Special Report with Bret Baier, where he would provide his analysis on the news of the day. He has been cited as an influence for many current conservative commentators, many of whom eulogized him in social media reports following news of his death.
Aside from being known for his sharp writing and highly analytical approach to his political commentary, Krauthammer is also known for his incredible life’s journey. A skiing accident in college left him paralyzed from the neck down, but this did not deter his writing career. He also spent much of his formative years as a Democrat, later becoming known as one of the prominent “neo-conservatives” when he found his true political calling.
Krauthammer will certainly be missed on Fox News and everywhere else. Check out the video below to hear Brit Hume reflect on some of his fondest memories of the man.
