Why Does CNN Hate YouTube So Much?

When YouTube first started, it was billed as a place for people to make cat videos and maybe promote their businesses. It was most certainly not meant to replace mainstream news, give people free access to millions of hours of higher education material, philosophy, history, and facts and learning of all kinds.

It was not meant to take down the pay wall between the ordinary person and high quality information. It was not meant to make it possible for anyone to learn anything. But it has done just that.

YouTube has been made into much more than a repository for top ten worst skateboard jump fails and cats playing pianos. In fact, it has been called the second Gutenberg Press by a number of heavy hitting academics including the massively influential Canadian psychologist, Jordan B. Peterson.

YouTube creators, looking to offer valuable information and powerful analysis that far outstrips anything you can get outside of rare non-fiction books, pose an existential threat to academia, the media, politicians- and anyone looking to control information.

As a result, the elites are panicking. Governments and ideologues are losing their grip on the minds of the masses. Government- the Latin derivation of which literally means “mind control”- is failing in its primary role as crowd control. It is failing because YouTube is allowing people to circumvent the approved channels of information.

Not surprisingly, CNN has come out to condemn what is being accomplished on YouTube.

Mark Dice has more.
