Jesse Peterson: “You Can Change, Don’t Give up!”
Have you ever had a social interaction you regret, said something you wish you hadn’t or acted against your better wisdom? Has the memory of that instance plagued you for years? Does the memory of regret come to mind often and hit you as hard as it did the day you realized how stupid it was?
Are you more powerfully affected by negative events than you are by positive events? Do losses and conflicts nag at you frequently or powerfully? Are you driven to anger by nonsensical associations to bygone beliefs or experiences?
These are the seeds of madness. They are the fruits of insecurity and fear. They lead to all manner of illness, crime, and folly. They lead us into violence, addiction, hatred, anger, and destructiveness.
The biggest problem by far for all people in all times is the neurotic and automatic voice of the undisciplined mind. Automatic thoughts are a plague for even the highest functioning people. It’s the voice in your head that keeps you up at night. It’s the voice that reminds you of everything you’ve ever done or said that you regret or feel insecure about.
The Bible tells us to bring every thought into captivity, to doubt the voice of the automatic thoughts that plague us. We must learn to recognize the voice of the automatic mind and doubt everything it says.
Here’s Pastor Jesse Lee Peterson. His non-profit organization has been working to liberate people from the voice of the lie for over 20 years. He’s here to tell you that you CAN change your life — see below.
