Politicians tend to be even-keeled and agreeable – even when they are faced with criticism from opposing voices. At a recent campaign event, though, Presidential hopeful Joe Biden decided to veer dramatically from this tendency when confronted by an Elizabeth Warren supporter.
Over the course of their brief interaction, Joe Biden insulted the man numerous times, calling him “old”, “fat”, and “stupid”, on separate occasions.
We’re not ones to ridicule politicians for speaking boldly and openly. Too much political correctness and “politician speak”, after all, is one of the big problems with politics in 2019. However, harshly insulting an audience member over and over again has got to be crossing a line – especially considering how much grief those on the left give President Donald Trump for punching back at his critics in the same way.
