Rep. McCarthy Leads Charge Against Bias on Twitter

The Twitter Terms of Service prevents users from attacking one another, making threats, using hateful or racist language, and more. The problem, however, isn’t with the Terms of Service itself, but rather the unapologetically biased manner in which Twitter chooses to enforce their terms.

Conservatives on Twitter must walk a very fine line. If they make one misstep or say one thing that is slightly too negative or condescending about a liberal figure, their accounts are banned and their tweets removed. Liberals, on the other hand, face no such scrutiny – a recent case in point being a leftist Oregon health candidate who insinuated that First Lady Melania Trump was a prostitute that worked by the hour. Unsurprisingly, this tweet drew absolutely no response from Twitter. Had a conservative published the same tweet about Michelle Obama, though, it’s a very safe bet that you would never see their name on Twitter again.

Leading the charge against this double standard – which censors conservative speech anytime Twitter finds an excuse to do so while giving liberals a free pass to say whatever they please no matter how vile – is House Republican Rep. McCarthy.

To hear McCarthy detail Twitter’s many abuses and attacks on conservative speech as well as what he plans to do to stop the company’s bias application of their Terms of Service, be sure to check out the video below.
