Study: $100B in Taxpayer Money Used for Immigrant Benefits

While there are many arguments for the need to increase border security, the economic argument is certainly one of the most compelling. As more and more immigrants continue to flood across the border, the economic toll that they place on the country continues to rise. Now, one study has found that over $100 billion of taxpayer money is used each year to fund benefits for illegal immigrants.

Illegal immigrants who enter the United States are able to access benefits such as healthcare, education, and more without paying a dime back to the country in taxes. Not only is this a major strain on the U.S. economy, but it is also a compelling incentive for illegal immigrants to continue crossing over into the United States. This creates a vicious cycle that our country can no longer afford.

In spite of this, though, leftist politicians continue to fight against increased border security while also pushing to offer even more taxpayer-funded benefits to illegal immigrants. If nothing is done to stop them, the economic toll of illegal immigration will continue to skyrocket.
