The Twitter Terms of Service is very clear that accounts which engage in bullying, threats, or hurtful and dangerous remarks will be banned from the platform. Nevertheless, the way that Twitter goes about implementing this policy is a sickening example of the company’s hypocrisy and political priorities.
Peter Fonda – the washed-up actor best known for being the brother of Jane Fonda – went on a now-deleted Twitter tirade where he said that Barron Trump should be torn from his mother’s arms and locked up in a cage with pedophiles. In response to these vile posts, Twitter has done absolutely nothing. Peter Fonda’s account has not been deleted or suspended, and Twitter has remained silent on the issue.
Of course, this isn’t the first time that Twitter has failed to enforce their Terms of Service when it comes to leftists attacking conservatives. Meanwhile, conservatives who use the platform must be very careful about what they say regarding those on the left and how they say it lest they face a quick and unmerciful response from Twitter that leaves them banned from the platform.
The fact that Peter Fonda has not been punished by Twitter in any way for his posts is astounding and goes to prove that Twitter has an entirely different set of rules when it comes to dealing with conservatives and liberals on their platform.
