Mike Pence is a devout Christian – arguably one of the most devout Christians in all of politics – and those on the left hate him for it. All ideas of tolerance, acceptance, and inclusion quickly fly out the window when the left is faced with Christianity. When the Christian in question happens to be a powerful Republican in the Trump administration, this faith-bashing reaches a new level of belligerent hatred.
Liberal journalists write hit pieces about Pence, calling him a “holy terror” and mocking his faith, TV personalities suggest that Mike Pence suffers from mental problems since he talks to God, and liberal pundits warn that if Trump is impeached, having a devout Christian as president would be even worse.
While the left champions religions that are truly oppressive such as radical Islam, Christians are automatically cast as being bigots, racists, and totalitarians, and attacks on Christians are applauded by the left rather than being condemned as the type of intolerance they supposedly stand against.
The good news is that Mike Pence is no-doubt a strong politician with skin as thick as President Trump’s. These attacks on his faith will not bring him down and will not change the opinion of his supporters. If anything, they only go to show the true colors of the deeply hateful and intolerant left.
