This is The Original Democrat Halloween Costume
If you’ve ever dug deep into the actual history of the Democratic Party, you know about the skeletons in the closet. You know about how they allowed communists to gain cultural influence during the Cold War, how they replaced the Southern plantation with the modern welfare state, and how they shifted their stance on immigration once they found out more about how foreigners vote.
You also know about the funny costume (pictured above) that they used to wear, and now blame their political opponents for enabling.
There is simply no way around it — the Ku Klux Klan is part of the Democratic Party’s legacy. It’s no coincidence that Senator Robert Byrd, who died as the oldest serving member of the chamber, had a “fleeing relationship” (Bill Clinton’s words — he was actually a ranking member) with the white supremacist terrorist organization.
But, the mainstream media continues to peddle the narrative that white supremacy is an element of the conservative movement. While it’s true that a visible number of Klansmen and others who share their demented views gravitated towards President Donald Trump’s populist messaging, that quickly eroded when it became clear that Trump supports minorities and Israel’s right to exist.
It’s time to do away with one of the most vicious lies about the Democratic Party’s history — once and for all. The Daily Wire’s Andrew Klavan has more in the video below.
