Trump Isn’t Pulling Punches with the Media Anymore

Trump’s relationship with the mainstream media has never been much of a friendly one. However, it seems as if the interactions between President Trump and reporters have grown even more hostile recently, as reporters continue to debate and challenge him during press conferences rather than ask him real questions and Trump continues to hit back just as hard.

It started with CNN’s Jim Acosta, who finally crossed the line by refusing to give up the microphone when a White House intern came to take it away from him. He jerked the microphone out of her grasp and continued badgering the President. It was an action that cost him his White House press pass. However, there are certainly plenty more combative reporters to fill the void that Acosta will leave.

Those in the media blame the President for his tumultuous relationship with the press. Yet it’s hard for anyone – especially someone like Donald Trump – to remain polite and agreeable when every reporter in the press conference is there to pick a fight. The behavior we have seen from reporters throughout Trump’s Presidency is unlike anything in modern times. The press was respectful of President Bush, and they worshipped the ground that President Obama walked on. When it comes to President Trump, though, they’re out for blood.

To see President Trump go toe to toe with some of these combative reporters in true Trump fashion, be sure to check out the video below.
