Before the first migrant caravan has even reached the border of the United States, more caravans are forming with the same intention – to crash through our borders, ignore our laws, and demand that American taxpayers provide for them.
Emboldened by the success thus far of the first caravan and the support that it has received from the media and leftist politicians, two more migrant caravans have formed in Central America and are now headed towards the US border.
All along, this was the danger of allowing the first caravan to pass through unopposed; if we don’t stop them, they won’t be the last. Once the floodgates are opened and illegal immigrants realize that they are able to cross the border into the US without repercussion so long as they travel in a large enough group, there will be no closing them again.
Fortunately, President Trump has vowed to stop the first migrant caravan at all costs, promising to send thousands of US troops to the border to assist in border security. The best case scenario is that the first migrant caravan is turned back without violence, forcing the other caravans that are forming to give up and turn back on their own. Anything less and the border security of our nation is going to be seriously, permanently compromised.
