What You Don’t Know About Feminism
A movement that began as a historic drive for political and social equality has evolved into a leftist cultural weapon to exert power and suppress freedom.
In contemporary culture, feminism is almost always referred to in a non-political way. For many, the word simply recalls the historic struggles of women to obtain the right to vote and other western feats of social progress. However, anyone who has been inside of a college campus any time in the past two decades will tell you otherwise.
Feminism is a political ideology — a subset of modern leftism. While the push for women’s rights once called for the vote and equal pay for equal work, modern advocates now demand the equality of outcome.
While many may be tempted to write this off as simply a radical fringe to be ignored, this ideology presents a very real cultural threat. It has drawn sharp divides between men and women. Differences that were once celebrated are eliminated. Women are expected to have the same career aspirations as men to make up for disparities historic gender roles may have produced. Men are expected to simply act more feminine. Traditionally masculine interests are scorned as chest-beating relics of the past.
