YouTube Censors Conservatives Covering State of the Union Speech

The ugly bias of Silicon Valley giants revealed itself once again as President Trump delivered his first ever official State of the Union speech.

Daily Wire, a right-wing news aggregator known as the home of popular social media personalities including founder Ben Shapiro, Michael Knowles, and Andrew Klavan, live-streamed the speech using public domain footage provided by C-SPAN. Somehow, this was grounds for YouTube to block their feed.

Meanwhile, popular leftist accounts such as The Young Turks were able to use the same footage without so much as a warning — as if one would be needed anyway for streaming a public broadcast.

This prompted the Daily Wire team to take a break from discussing the specifics of Trump’s speech, and revisit the controversy surrounding how public conservatives are treated on social media.

Joining the discussion was Dennis Prager, who is currently suing the platform for blocking many of his videos featuring relatively centrist content.
