There are a lot of great channels out there on the Tubes of You that do street reporting and offer up a really informative perspective on the attitudes that are motivating people to be political. Sure it does seem like low hanging fruit to pick on the uninformed leftist on the street- but it’s useful. For one thing, it’s not common for a person to be able to talk to people who disagree with them on critical issues and to not lose their cool. When leftists spout unsupported assertions based on the yammerings of CNN, most of us get annoyed.
So, what we see again and again is that when liberals are confronted with facts and opinions that contradict their world view, they tend to get pissed off. They become combative and inevitably, they start accusing their ideological opponents of all kinds of things. First, they call you names, and then they start claiming that you’re attacking them.
Every time an InfoWars correspondent covers a left-wing rally, anyone who talks to them is pulled back by some kind of mid-level handler. Not only do they believe they are under actual violent siege, but they base their arguments on that idea. It’s a fall-back, go-to position that they just find so natural and comforting.
Recently, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was confronted with some border security facts she couldn’t deal with, and her knee jerk reaction was to say Trump threatened her. It’s freaking weird.
