Facebook Removes HUNDREDS of Conservative Pages

If you’ve got any kind social media presence, you know how much work and time it takes to develop a following. People use social networking platforms for political activism, to promote a business, to entertain and to make money. It’s a big part of the reason we were able to recover from the 2008 recession — the online gig economy.

If you’ve invested any significant amount of time growing your online presence, then you are probably aware of the many ways social media platforms can arbitrarily censor opinions that the owners of those platforms don’t like.

There’s shadow banning, a practice where you can post and see posts but no one can see your activity. The only way to tell is to log on to another account and try to find yourself. On YouTube, they use anonymous complaints to take down verboten creators. They will go through all of your old videos looking for anything even remotely offensive and once they find it, they can demonetize or sandbox your channel. Then, of course, there’s the blanket shutdowns of large channels. The best known example is Alex Jones’ Info Wars. Now, he can’t even use PayPal.

You know what’s funny though? Jones’ viewership is bigger than ever. The man has Obi-Wan powers.

Well, there’s been another big purge of conservative voices on Facebook. Here’s Michael Labron of Lionel Media on RT discussing the latest mass shutdown.
