While the left goes off its business droning on about Russia, there’s a real cold war brewing between the west and China. We’ve known this for some time, but the liberals didn’t realize they should start lying about it until early on in the first four years of the Obama administration.
Before that time, many economists and other experts were telling us that China was on its way to becoming the sole global superpower. They were telling us that we should start teaching our children to speak Mandarin and learn to eat with chopsticks. All that talk stopped some time ago. It was like they all forgot that China was about to stomp the global economy and make everyone wear clothes that are too small for them.
But Donald Trump didn’t forget. If you recall, his willingness to stick it to China was a big part of his campaign message. He tried to get us to understand how we had been handing our basket to China in a big way for years. He told us that we had been letting China stick it to us in every conceivable way.
So now that the US is standing up to China, they’re getting a bit butt-hurt about it. They aren’t getting the easy straw-man fight they were expecting. Now, with a trade war raging and economic transformation on the rise, it seems we’re in for a bit of a tussle.
